Customer Repeat Infringement Policy
First Time Violation
- The Customer will be placed on “Hold” status.
- Ayersville Telephone Company will contact the Customer and explain the copyright infringement, email the Customer the notice from the Third Party Company providing the notice, and ask the Customer to remove the illegal material.
- If the Customer agrees to remove the illegal material then the Customer account will be moved back to an “Active” status.
Second Time Violation
- Ayersville Telephone Company personnel will place the Customer account on “Hold” status and complete a “DMCA Notice Verification” letter.
- Ayersville Telephone Company will contact the Customer and explain that they will be receiving a “DMCA Notice Verification” letter and that the Customer must sign and return before the account will be reactivated.
- Once the Customer returns the letter with their signature then the Customer account will be moved back to an “Active” status.
Third Time Violation
- Ayersville Telephone Company personnel will place the Customer account on “Hold” status and complete a “DMCA Notice Verification” letter.
- Ayersville Telephone Company will contact the Customer and explain that they will be receiving a “DMCA Notice Verification” letter and that the Customer must sign and return before the account will be reactivated. Additionally, ATC will inform the Customer that they will be charged a reconnection fee.
- Once the Customer returns the letter with their signature and the reconnection fee is paid then the Customer account will be moved back to an “Active” status.
Fourth Time Violation
- Ayersville Telephone Company personnel will place the Customer account on “Closed” status and complete a “DMCA Termination Verification” letter.
- Ayersville Telephone Company will contact the Customer and explain that they will be receiving a “DMCA Termination Verification” letter.
- Customer’s account will be closed and Customer will be invoiced for any remaining charges including any applicable early termination fees.
